laser diy list

Okay. so im going to an elecronic-parts store tomorrow and i have a list of things im going to buy for a driver.

100ohm variable resistor(pot)
LM317T regulator
2X 10ohm resistor
1N4001 diode
l.e.d(for testing)
battery clip
Switch
i have the circuit board and soldering iron.

do you have anything to add to this list??

You will also need a 9V battery and a 47 μF capacitor. Other than that, your list is correct.

how many volts does the capacitor have to be?
