Good morning!

For my very first post I have a request for help to identify a laser diode. I work in healthcare IT and I like disassembling items to scavenge for parts that may repair other devices in the field.

I happened upon a laser diode assembly out of a handheld scanner used to scan barcodes. Out of all the other barcode scanners I've disassembled I've never come across a laser diode so small.

The laser etched numbers on the side read "1BZE B651".

I've attached a couple of photos to hopefully help in identifying the diode.

Thanks lot everyone.

This is likely a red diode, possibly around 650nm to 660nm. Don't recognize the diode or assembly, but bar code scanners have all been red since the very first one which was a HeNe.
