Hi!!

I am a new member and it is save to say that I know very little about lasers but yet very desperate to get a problem of mine fixed. So I hope I can get some help here...

I bought this awesome gadget Laser Genetics ND3. It is a laser designator that split the wave to a wider beam so one could use it as a torch/flaslight. I bought it a little over a year ago and it has been working great.

However, recently it stopped working. It just wont turned on. I replace the battery and check the switch and everything works fine. I contacted the company and they refused to service all product that is over 1 year old. How stupid and irresponsible is this? This is an expensive item and they wont have anything to do with it after a year?!

My question is, do you know a place or anyone who can check this out and probably repair it for me?

Thanks for all your help!

Where are you? Are you in the US? And is this the item your talking about? ND3 Green Laser Designator for Military, Law Enforcement and EMT | Laser Genetics if it is then its not exactly made from standard off the shelf parts. I see its 532nm that means its DPSS they can be sensitive to being dropped as well as extreme cold or temperature changes so they don't last forever but at that price they should be more durable than most. There is probably a brass laser module inside that may be replaceable but I really don't know. If you really want it fixed you will need to find someone very experienced at building lasers who is willing to have a look at it for you.
