Here are a couple pictures using my Sanwu 3 watt 445nm Silver Series pointing to Venus and the Moon. Anyone else have cool pictures using your lasers as star finders?

More beam pictures to come! Some pictures with my iPhone 6s look very violet and a couple are electric blue. It's just a solid bright string pointing to infinity. So cool.

Nice pics. You must have had a long exposure time to get the beam looking that solid in the first pic where it's not even night yet.

Interesting, I'd like to see how the star finder beam looks through the telescope at night when pointing at a star.

Nice shots.
Yep it does look like an endless string.

I've got a shot of one of my lasers as a star pointer, here's the Milky Way Bisector.

When you look at the beam through a scope it looks almost identical as it does naked eye except somewhat dimmer.

The picture with the moon is actually looking through a 38mm eyepiece. 1000mm focal length on the scope gives me about 26x power. The picture of the telescope and the beam shooting towards Venus is normal exposure with my iphone. I have a 16 megapixel handheld camera i'll use next time to see what other shots I can get. I'll have some decent time this weekend to play with it!

That's some range !

Usual range of lasers.... :)
Out of our galaxy and beyond while still maintaining a non-divergent beam ? lol I had no idea when I shot my laser up in the sky that's what it was doing !!!

If only that were true... All Laser beams diverge...:D

@RB ... Nice impressive Beam shot to the Milky Way Bisector.
