Here is a new build I wanted to show off.
It is a key chain PHR that is <5mW built from a little red laser I got from target.
The build was surprisingly easy because the aixiz housing actually press fits directly into the host. All I had to do was remove one component from the stock driver and solder the aixiz/diode to it. The "driver" only had one component to begin with so now it is just used to complete the circuit.
I got the idea because Daguin recently sent me my only "safe laser" as a free bonus with another item I bought.:thanks: I forgot how much fun safe lasers can be so I had to build a blu-ray. Here is a size comparison.
This makes it look a lot brighter than it really is.
I tried to take a picture of it actually shining on my LaserBee...but my suckey camera wouldn't focus, so for what its worth here is my reading.
According to Lasersbee the LMP is not going to pick up a reading <5mW so I can be sure it is legal and safe... I could even sell these little lasers complete
All in all my cat loves it and it is nice to have a little blu-ray to sit along side my little red laser.
