Just want to say hello and thanks

I've always been fascinated by lasers and hopefully looking into making my own soon. I also want to learn more about them. Been lurking on here for a little while, and it's thanks to this site that I was prompted to purchase safety goggles with my first 1W blue.

I'll admit, before finding out about this site, I was ignorant about eye safety and those goggles weren't a priority. After seeing photos of one of your member's eyes getting burnt, I decided not to take any chances.

(Whoever it was, if you're reading this I hope your eyes are okay now!!)

Thanks guys for taking the time to inform others on eye safety.

Welcome to the forum. I'm glad to hear that you got goggles with that blue laser. A very good decision. Eye safety is very important in this hobby. You'll find tons of info on this site by reading the stickies, searching, and reading old threads. Of course one laser leads to another. And another ...
