i've seen a lot of fuss lately over 635nm, and at some point i'd love a high powered one. but for now, i've decided to try out an atlasnova <5mW 635nm, $24 + $8 shipping to UK, i can then compare it against the <1mW and <5mW 650nm (or maybe 660? i'm not sure) reds i have, and the pulsar 125! i may post a review when i get it, i don't have a laser meter but this shouldn't matter for <5mW, right? there'll be incense lit to see if i can see the beam when a 5mW would be visible, and possibly pics, can't wait to get it and try it out!

hehe thanks, i really can't wait :) if what people say about it being half as bright as 532nm is true, i should be able to get it visible given a lot of incense or maybe even outside in total darkness if i'm lucky! i really wish there was more choice in 635s, i'd love something say 50-100mW for a decent price.

good going Marianne!!
I wouldn't go as far as saying its half as bright as 532nm (more like 1/4), but its up there ;)
You are going to love the difference between it and your low powered 650nms.

me too. I would be buying Laser glow's 635 Orion tonight if it was cheaper. Still, 50mW-100mW would be a great pen size laser to have !!

I have a little 5mW 635nm AixiZ module and it's pretty bright! At night the beam is pretty visible, I can only barely tell a difference in color with 650nm, but it's the brightness that gives it away.

I have the AN635, and love the blazing bright red color.  It's definitely not as bright as a <5mW greenie, but it blows the doors off of a 5mW 650.
