Hi,

Just ordered the 532nm 800mW PL-E pro, I didn't see a duty cycle listed. Does anyone know what it is? I saw one guy say it was unlimited but I'm not sure about that.

The working temperature is posted as 15 to 35 Degree C so maybe try to measure it. I wouldn’t run it for longer than a couple of minutes. Keep in mind that the ir diode is a higher power than the visible output.

Yes it does. The directions explicitly say "long runtime".
That means from 1 second - to infinity (and beyond).

I have one, but only run it briefly.

I don't have any high powered 532nm lasers in a handheld. I've got a 1350 mW one in a large lab host. It has an unlimited run time.

I run my 800mw 532nm ple pro for 5 mins and get 300-400mw. Power is dropping dramatically after long run. Also you can’t expect more than 300-400mw if weather is cold. My unit is super unstable. But it’s kicking at room temp. Peaks 1200 easily.

Talked to Jetlasers, he said it's 2 mins on 30 seconds off. :thanks:

I ran it for 10 minutes and had no issues. I does not get even warm. But since IR diode working temperature being 15-30°C, I think anything around that will do.

He said the 800mW model was unstable and recommended I went with the 600mW model.
