Where exactly did you come up with 6500 psi? those tanks usually don't go past 2250ish psi. Also, an incident like that with pure oxygen is different from air or co2 or n2 due to the fact that the tank and/or regulator along with anything around you burn nicely in pure oxygen.

Now, with that being said, anything over a couple HUNDRED psi is still very dangerous and can lead to very bad things form a flying out-of-control missile to air injected into a vein causing a pulmonary embolism.

The cylinder in the video was a welding tank. You're right, it had nowhere near 6500psi of oxygen in the tank. only 2000psi. The person attempted to let out the oxygen gradually but the inside of the tank (Aluminum) actually ignited causing this explosion to occur. I was trying to illustrate how much power compressed air has.
You said it, right... anyways.. my number was greatly off... abiet an exaggeration.

However, Somedude has said it right, even an experienced person would reconsider using compressed gas in the manner explained in the beginning post!
