Is this a good 50mW Laser?

Hello! I am new to lasers and am currently looking for a good 50mW laser for under $20 (Just to play with ) and I came across this one on Newegg: Black 50mW 532nm Green Laser - Newegg.com

Is this laser good? If not, what would your recommend? Will I need to spend more?

You can buy that particular style of laser on ebay for like $4. It will be labeled as <5mw, but usually they put out 30-50+mw.

You'd be better off just buying a laser-303/301 off ebay IMO. Slightly cheaper and probably more powerful.

Yep, that's a nice starter laser. Good choice.

I have one of those cheap 532nm 301s. I think I paid about $7 for it, and it came with the pouch and a battery. It measures almost 60mw. But because they are cheap, it's hard to say how much of that is IR. So with that being said. Make sure you get safety glasses that will also block out IR.
