Awfully expensive for a 20mW... You should be able to find a ~100mW one in our Buy/Sell/Trade board for under $100US, or you can build one yourself for about $60.

is there a cheaper place to buy a fully assembled blu-ray laser? please direct me if so.... i want quality too, because i most likely wont be buying another for awhile.

and i'm not really able to buy very dangerous ones like the 100mw

High quality bluray lasers for $80, fully adjustable. They're shipped out at 125mW, though if you like you can adjust the output lower (and as a side effect it will live much longer). Maybe you could ask yobresal if he can adjust it down to 20mW for you.

Why not just go with one of the Chinese suppliers?

and from looking at the host (dilda-like) you could probably get to the module and turn the pot to whatever resistance you want. (~5mA->+100mA)

I'd recommend the http://hightechdealz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=10 . You get 80+mW for $70 and you only need to add a battery. This is a very high quality laser, and I know for a fact you can adjust the power and focus.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable building a laser, you probably should stay away from pot tweaking as well. One wrong turn and you could fry your $70 laser.
