Is there any source for 561nm pointers?

I saw a few group buys regarding these, but it looks like they ran into customs problems and CNI won't even ship <5mw lasers into the US now. I guess these are pretty much unobtainium unless dragonlasers decides to start selling them?

CNI would be the only source, yes.

I don't think DragonLasers, LaserGlow or any other reseller will start selling them. 532nm works just fine and most consumers won't want to spend $300+ for another greenish-yellow, plus there isn't a huge demand(kind of like yellow).

You could try to order a module from CNI. I helped laserman121 with his! :)

AFAIK CNI is not making any more but it would not hurt to ask.

Yeah, it does seem like there wouldn't be a big demand for these unfortunately. Unless you're into collecting unusual wavelengths there probably aren't many people who would pay 10x what a Lyra costs to go from a bright green color to a slightly yellowish green. These sort of have the same problem that the laserglow rigel 593.5 has competing with the spartan. For $20 more, you can go from a .6-2mw 593.5nm laser to a 589nm 50mw laser.

Well that makes me kinda sad. Variety is always nice even if it's not particularly practical or in demand.

i can go and dig up some module for you.... there's a cni retailer here in Australia... what do you need?

Edited: the price for 20mw+ of 556nm/561nm is $720 USD......
80mw+ of 589nm is $500..
and 20mw of 593.5 is $420

CNI will sell you a module, it just won't be in pointer form. Knowing full well that I'm an American and plan to use it in a portable host, they quoted me $350 earlier this week for a 593.5nm module.

-how many mw is the 593.5nm module that they quoted you?

i receive a quote for 20mw of 593.5nm for $420 from one of their reseller here in Australia.

We have GOT to find a member on LPF who could make all the wavelengths we wanted! *dreams*

Oh look, a 100mW 488nm DPSS from Isaac :D
