Is the Sanwu $15 650nm laser really ~250mW?

Is it just me or does $15 plus $10 for shipping seem a little fishy for a 250mW laser seem a little iffy? I just haven't ever seen something that powerful for such a low price. I see on other sites like LaserBTB that a 200mW 650nm is selling for just about $85. Also, there is another laser on there that is also pretty iffy to me. It is the 100mW 532nm laser for $18 and again, plus $10 for shipping. Please tell me if I'm wrong. I am just a little suspicious.

So it's true that they put out what they're labeled as on Sanwu?
I'd assume so. Sanwu are generally pretty reliable. It also looks like they've done some modifications to the red on their site.

These are just standard ebay 303/301 lasers. They probably buy them in bulk and measure the output to categorize them. If you buy them from ebay it's all up to chance whether yours will put out 50-100mw.

I heard somewhere that the red 303/301 lasers don't hold up against shipping well.

If SANWU says it is I bet it is, or within +/- 10% ,podo is trusted and he is bringing innovations, I like his work, his shipping and his product line up, 250mw sounds perfectly reasonable.

As far as shipping I can't remember a dead red I ever got in the mail and I have many, maybe if the spring contact is on the back of the driver that's soldered to the diode and someone puts a battery in it, but that would be dumb, as long as it's not shipped with a battery inside it should be fine.

Now the awesome 405 diodes are very static sensitive, but that's another topic, the reds are pretty tough.

p.s. 660nm and 650nm used to be 80 - 200mw long ago, I have many, but now 300+mw is standard, the 826/836 and all the mitsu 660nm are often rated for 350-450 on ebay and pushing one to 250mw sounds just fine, there is no reason to doubt it, you are maybe mixing up red with green, the dpss 532nm ebay green are often over rated, but if SANWU list those as 50mw or 100mw I bet they are within +/- 10%

There is no reason to doubt his 250mw reds, that is perfectly reasonable and the mitsu diodes like the LPC-826 & 836 will do that no problem and those diodes are not expensive, so again, it's perfectly reasonable.
