i just noticed a few mins ago that there are "wings" extending from either side of the dot once it is on something. Is this what mode hopping means? or could this be a low battery problem. i cant take a picture right now but just pretend that this face is the dot. and there are lines on the left and right of it getting a little wider the further it gets from the center. thanks for the help all.

ps, this is only a couple weeks old of a laser.

It's probably just dust. Try cleaning it with a microfiber cloth.

hmmm, microfiber cloth. is that like the thing that was in my saftey glasses' case to clean those off?

I agree 1000%....the lenspen is the bomb.. It makes cleaning any lens so much easier.
