Is it fine to use regular polarized sunglasses?

I though I heard or read somewhere that it is fine to just use polarized sunglasses to protect from certain lasers, but I didn't buy it. Would these protect from any lasers?

NO just buy some real laser goggles. You only get one set of eyes.
