Is a broken 301 worth repairing?

I bought a cheap 301 from rayfoss. Came in broken. Faona gave me a refund, so now I'm here with a shitty host and broken internals.

I see this as a gateway into the world of building. I've seen the 301 dissection thread from marco polo and took this thing apart. I haven't gotten the diode out yet though.

Would it be worth it to try and put this thing together again with new a new diode? Where should I buy the parts?

And it also seems like there isn't a basic tutorial on putting these things together on this board. Am I just overlooking it?

What wavelength was it? If it was 532nm, it's extremely unlikely you could repair it. DPSS is very difficult to do from scratch.

It's a 405nm.
