i have extracted my red diode from my pioneer 115d, and i can see another one. Is this infra red, and if it is, can i use it for an "invisible laser?

You can use it to make an IR laser, I'm guessing it would put out between 80 - 90mW, that's enough to burn some stuff. But you should really get some IR protection goggles first. IR is more dangerous than normal light since the human eye can't see it.
