Interesting phenomenon with 445 & Boost

If you put it on a bigger heatsink and it works fine sounds like overheating was the problem. You did have a heatsink on the aizix module right? 445's require cooling, A aizix module alone is not nearly enough.

Also yes, a 445 driven with 1000mA is going to be pushing 1W.. it being massively bright is the point.

I have to question that battery, even if its not the issue.
3600ma? I don't think that is possible. The internal resistance of
the battery may be to high, IE cannot produce enough current.
Have any other battery's without crazy unrealistic specs?

I was wondering that too, but he said he got the same result using a bench power supply. Yeah I doubt that cell is really anywhere near 3600mAh... unless they're talking about running it down to 0v... which you could only do once... heh.
