I wouldn't be too worried about it, there is little reason why it would not be possible to mass produce a 3.8mm version of the aixiz module, if 3.8 mm becomes the new standard for laser diode packages at some point.
Its just a matter of supply, demand and volume. If 405 diodes with more power become avialable at reasonable cost, i'm sure companies like o-like will jump into the module market for them too. They make 9mm modules too, although they are 16mm outer diameter.
