I am a professional hunter in Africa. I often hunt with clients that are not able to speak good English. I sometimes hunt animals in herds and then also a specific trophy size animal needs to be chosen out of the group. It is difficult if the animals are moving to explain to a client that do not understand English, which one to shoot. I have therefore decided to do some research on a laser pointer to point out the specific animal to them. My requirements and questions are:
1. Which colour laser will be the most visible under bright sunlight conditions?
2.What will the visibility range of this laser be under bright sunlight conditions?
3. Will the client be able to see the dot through his rifle scope under bright sunlight conditions at say, 150 yeards?
4. Will this laser not be noticed by the animals so that it gives away your position?
Is there anyone out there that has tested the laser under these conditions? I have mailed many of the laser manufacturers in China and none of them have tested it under these conditions, or it's ruggedness in the field. I offered to test it for them and return it when finished with a full written report but none of them are willing to help me. There is quite a big market for this purpose in Africa...if tested properly and found that it works! I am not willing to pay between R5000 and R7000 for a piece of equipment to find that it does not work. Please...is there someone outhere that can give me some advice or that have tested the laser under these conditions. Your help will be much appreciated! You can mail me directly at info@victorhunt.com
