So. Here are my choices that I have narrowed it down to.

+ means I like, - means I don't, * means excellent

Alpha 105 from Nova
+Guarantee at least 105 mW output
+AA batteries
-Large
-Not constant on switch
-Dongle sticking out (not modifying due to breaking warranty)
*200 second duty cycle
Total: $274.55

Pyro from Destructive Gear
+LED indicator light
*Small
*Constant on switch
+120 second duty cycle
-Cr123 Batteries
Total: $278

HELP ME DECIDE!! :)

I would go with the Pyro because it's different...in a class all its own.

Yup... ;D I think you will be happy with the run time of the Pyro.

cr123 batteries are a + for sure! sure they are lithium and off-brands are liable to explode, but brand names arent too expensive and they run a really long time

Buy branded batteries, use common sense, and you will be fine... :)

Even though the pyro looks good, I'd be a little cautious of it. I've heard that we've tried to get them to let a Mod borrow one for a review and they kept refusing. If DG turns out to be good I'm sure the pyro would be a great laser though, but wait until a mod does a review on it first

The problem is they are not branded batteries...I just don't trust any non branded batteries after reading about them exploding. Granted explosions don't happen very often, and are very rare with branded batteries. But these are the kind of risks I don't like to take..lol

Just be careful with those. Personally I wouldn't touch them...

those batteries look like little individually wrapped candies lol
hey lazy, i bought a pack of 4 from batteryspace.com for about $10 including shipping. it's "Powerizer" brand, but at the same time, when you buy duracell or energizer, you're really paying mostly for the brand... just my thought

im new to the cr123 scene
in other words dont stick them in an oven, dont drop them from twelve feet, and keep them a whiles away from a pool if they're damaged
