IE 7 Question for peeps....

Okay, please no answers like, switch to Firefox, etc please ?

Since I am stuck with using corporate apps, I gotta get used to a lot of distasteful sofware packages - one of which happens to be IE 7.

My question is, while posting on this forum, it ALWAYS pops up with a prompt asking to allow access to the clipboard....how the hell can I turn that on automatically so it stops bothering me ? I have not been able to find the setting in the internet options and such....I have ZERO problems with this forum having access to my Windows clipboard - damned computer just is not able to read my mind {yet}.
Oh - also, I am still struggling through Vista with this thing, too - so I dunno if that makes a difference or not with this setting ? Any help you can give would be appreciated - like I said, it is not drastic, just annoying ! :

I have the exact same porblem! It gets realy frustraing after a while, but I don't dare play with internet settings. Prbably would cause more harm than good.. :-[ :-X

To disable the pop up warning message about possible harmful or unauthorized Clipboard access, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Tools -> Internet Options.
2. Go to Security tab.
3. Select “Internet” zone, then click on “Custom level…” button.
4. Scroll down to “Scripting” section (at the bottom few).
5. Under “Allow Programmatic clipboard access” option, check or select (tick) Enable. Default action for this option is Prompt, which cause the pop-up message whenever there is any attempt to access the Clipboard.
6. Click Ok twice to exit from Internet Options.

Changing the preference to Enable for “Allow Programmatic clipboard access” option can increase security risk. You can set it to Disable to disallow all website’s access to Clipboard’s resident data. However, the better and more secure alternative is to edit the “Allow Programmatic clipboard access” setting for “Trusted sites” zone (steps same as above, only that you select “Trusted sites” in step 3 instead of “Internet”), and add the websites that you trusted and selected into Trusted sites zone.

Weeeee- hoooooo ! Thanks for that, Wizcam - I just disabled it completely, and will see how that works for me - if not, I mean, I NEVER have confidential data in my clipboard, so I would most likely be safe even in the enabled option ! we'll see how it works out, I appreciate you taking the time to help out someone too lazy to look too hard for it ! LOL !! You DA MAN !
