Idiots here in the Pacific NorthWest....






Hopefully one of the people doing it get slapped with that 11,000 dollar fine that was mentioned!
That is always bad news for our hobby.
 
That sux... one thing that that I can take as a positive on this (cup half full) is that at least there are idiots in other places in the US instead of just my homestead.:na:

in general I don't care about idiots - but these a*?!oles are killing our hobby! It's getting more and more difficult to get some laser parts through customs!

Last week I didn't get my green HeNe through customs - now it's on the way back to the seller. The customs is already scared about the two simple words: "green laser"

What was the power rating on those HeNe tubes?
 
it's a 543nm green hene tube with < 2mW - so it's a simple class IIIa device... nothing special...
