I need help with a driver form o-like!!!

i just bough a driver from o-like.com here is the link for it..

i have two question on one side of the driver it say LD"-"
do i have to use both spots or just one....
the other one i put three "AAA" to test the driver connect it to the dummy but it wont read any thing or what other battery can i use.

on the dummy i had the two red dots solder together but they told me to solder the blu to the PHR-803T so now that is for the LPC laser i now have the two red dots solder together would that be OK to do or should i leave it with the blu solder together.

By the looks of it it's the same one I got from Odicforce. You have to hook your batt - & + to the Power - & Plus and your diode - & + to BOTH side of the driver. You will also have to Isolate the Module/H'Sink from your host for it to work.

Not sure what the TTL is tho, something to do with Pulse instead of constant (I think) but someone will correct me

The best place to get information about the O-Like drive
would be O-Like......

TTL means Transistor Transistor Logic..
It is used to turn the Driver output ON and OFF through
a 0 or 5V input...
(a simple Google search would have netted you that info)...

One thing to figure out if it requires the TTL input to be pulled high or low in order to turn the driver on. I'm not sure about these drivers, but both types exist: some will take a positive signal as an 'enable' to turn the laser on, other will treat it as a 'blanking' signal, turning the laser off.

well it does go thru cause i could read the voltage on the dummy an I'm not sure how many dummy drive are out there but i bough my were i have to build it my self they just provide the supply but it has six diode on the bottom an one 1R00 on top left side an just on the bottom of that component is a smallest one an it has 2001 on it, oh an kind of in the middle has red written on it an two dots to the right an blu with two dots on the right.

The dummy load has six diodes so it can simulate a voltage requirement of up to 4.2V assuming the diodes each drop 0.7V. This means it can pretend to be a bluray laser diode if all six are used.

If you use a link wire to connect the red dots you'll probably be able to see the circuit created only uses 3 of the diodes to simulate a Red diode at 2.1V.

If you use a link wire to connect the blue dots you'll probably be able to see the circuit created uses all 6 diodes to simulate a Bluray diode at 4.2V.

Where did you get the test load?


With these drivers the regulation is done through the negative path so, when using a case negative diode like most reds are, you cannot use the diode case as a current path, (unlike a driver that regulates the positive path). You must connect any current path utilising the host body from the driver input and electrically isolate the diode, (or better still the heasink), as kookapeli says! TTL should not be affected as I think they require 5V to switch them off.
