I agonized about getting this because I really don't need it...but it seemed to be reasonable in price and in good working condition, and even included the manual:

Hughes 3227H-C Helium-Neon Linear Laser 7-15mW min/max w/ Power Supply & Manual | eBay

And the fact that it was made by Hughes and another one of my hobbies is collecting Hughes-related stuff, I finally threw in the towel and just bought the thing. I knew that if I didn't and missed out on it I'd probably kick myself.

So do ya think I did good here?

I ended up buying two 15mw Melles-Griot tubes for a little less last year, I think they are the same tube, but with AC power supplies (not lab). Even so, I paid $65.00 plus $15.00 shipping and they tested out at about 10mw.

IMHO its not a bad price at all for the power and considering it's a PS and tube. Sometimes the PS is more $$$ than the tubes and for convenience it's nice to have a lab PS.

My .02
