There was a Halloween dance at my university, and I brought my Wicked Lasers "Advanced" laser. The cool thing was that there was a fog machine, as well as some dry ice! Of course, no self-respecting laser enthusiast would pass up this chance!
I showed off the laser, especially when fog was being emitted. Several people thought that it was cool. (I did let two people use my laser, and thankfully, they were smart enough to not point it into people's eyes.)
There were also black balloons, but unfortunately, I couldn't pop them. I think that there were two reasons why I couldn't pop the balloons: they weren't inflated enough, and my batteries, although new, didn't provide enough "juice." I did manage to make one balloon slowly deflate, though.
