I have disassembly a laser of 405nm which I find there are 4 pcs of different lens in between. One of those was like a mirror in golden colourwhich reduce cercent amount of laser intensity. Normal daylight or torch light cannot pass through it. only the blue laser can pass through.
Can anyone tell me what is the purpose of this len.
Thanks a lot.

It was very thin just like a pc of metal sheet. I guess thickness was similar to 2~3 layer of aluminium fold.
I have took the photo but I don't konw how to post it.

do you perhaps have a link to where you bought it from?

It look like some kind of a digro / filter, but i dont see the use of this for 405nm laser......... i might be wrong like 90% of the time though:p

Very interesting non the less
