How best to setup battery contacts in host?

Please help this is my first try at putting my laser into a host, I have an Ultrafire C3 stainless host, an Aixiz module with PHR diode, a Flexdrive driver, and a Darkhorse heatsink.

I am having trouble with working out how to attach the battery +ve to the driver and also the -ve. Should I solder a spring to the driver and have that touch the end of the battery and somehow secure the driver inside the heatsink so that the spring is in the correct place to touch the +ve end of the battery or is there some other better way? Also how do I go about connecting the battery -ve/host casing to the driver?

Also should I solder the driver direct to the diode pins or can I use short lengths of wire?

I hope I have explained what I am attempting to do and thanks in advance for your help, Ian.

dh should have put a 17mm recess in the bottom of the hs. check and make sure then let me know.

Yes it has the angled recess, I assumed this was where the top `shoulders` of the battery press against?

ps thanks for quick response!!

nope its for a 17mm pcb. send me ur addy and ill send you one with wires already attached.

Thanks for the offer. How do I send my address to you? with a private message? By the way I am in UK so if you want me to Paypal you to cover the cost let me know, thanks.

nah dont worry about it. ive built a few of the c3's so i knew about the pcb. :) if you dont want to wait for the pcb(if your building a BR) you can connect the case pin to the - so it will be case grounded and uses a spring from a pen to make + contact with the battery. the pcb is much neater and you dont have to worry about the spring bending though.

p.s. if your building a red you dont have to connect the extra pin to the case pin b/c reds are already case ground..
