How are these glasses for laser fun

NO!!!! Those goggle are only OD 4 for 532nm :o (or a green laser light) They may be fine for blue and uv but they are inadequate for a green laser. Taking a 120mW green beam to the eye through those means your eye still gets between 17-18 mW of rod deadening power. Enough to cause PERMANENT DAMAGE TO YOUR EYESIGHT. :'( (not trying to be rude but I can't stress that point enough.)  You need goggles that have at least OD 4 @ 532nm for a 120mW green.

Where is the proof for your formula? Robjdixon's post contains accurate and proven information, backed up through research. I've never heard of your "natural logarithm" formula anywhere. I'm not trying to bash on you, but please don't spread around information like this unless you're 100% sure (And able to verify) that what you're saying is correct.

I agree, not to gang up on you but these will be fine for the average laser hobbyist.

Regardless of what OD your glasses are you will never wanna look at the laser beam directly. These are primarily meant to absorb the scattered light from a reflection off a surface.

Any higher OD and you will hardly see the dot with a 100mW. ::)

Lasers are dangerous even if you're waring glasses. You always need to be careful.
