Ok I am really new and have very little/no electronic experience
Basically have installed module and driver into the mxdl flash light and now I have a red and black wire.....Is there anyone who can show me a simple way of connecting the + & - wires to the host so I can make a complete laser?

Sorry for the stupid question :-[

Generally, you will need to remove a resistor and scrape off the traces on the existing driver in the MXDL, then solder one of the module wires onto one wire and the other wire onto the circuit board. Do you know what type you're using (i.e. 2x CR123a model, 3x AAA model, etc.) ?

Remove any parts from the PCB, use a cocktail stick (and soldering iron) to remove solder from the holes.

On the back side of the PCB there is a ring of tinned copper (it goes right around the outer edge) that is where the black wire will connect to, to find out which hole you need, push the cocktail stick into a hole in that ring, where it comes out the other side is where you will insert the black wire.

Inside that ring is another area of tinned copper, right in the middle. This is the positive contact, again push the cocktail stick through to find where you insert the red wire.
Hope that helps

Thanks so much for the replies, I will give it a go, the mxdl I am using is the 2x CR123a model.
