I mean come on. If a car comes speeding through at twice the speed of the other traffic it's gonna be pretty obvious. And the laser speed gun just suddenly not working for it would definitely warrant investigation. They'll definitely call up to a unit down the road to be ready, or even chase after you.
Seriously guys, don't get confused by all those movies and TV shows with crappy, stupid cops. Sure they may be around, but it takes just 1 good cop and you're toast.
