Greetings! This thread contains a mix of pics over the last couple nights. I highly suggest checking out the youtube vids, they are the same videos the gifs were comprised from, but they are a tad longer and MUCH more fluid. I did pick some music that was 'baked into' youtube, maybe when I have free time I'll put some actual music choices of my own over the top :)

Wavelengths Used:
638nm
490nm
445nm
405nm *For the cool effect of it passing THROUGH glass.

Higher res via click // more pics on Flickr if you dare!!

Thanks for looking :beer::wave:

Once again, some excellent videos, Lew; these use a great combination of wavelengths that really set them off, very cool!
:kewlpics:

I thought I was going to see some actual holograms that you made. These are nice, too, but not holograms. Thanks for sharing them. Oh, + REP.

Thanks BTG!

Hey Lew,
Nice pics! I like the 405nm ones the best

Something about that shift in color is neat EVERY time! Thanks Bruce!

nice pics lew

TYTY!

I would be interested in learning how to do that, I remember you mentioning doing some in the past - I'm going to look that up! - not sure why you were thinking you'd see some here, but TY, nonetheless, Paul!

Beautiful! + Rep

Thanks, buddy!

TY, SGD!!

Wow... you have some nice photographic
skills...

Jerry

TY, Jerry!!

I see why I thought that now. The screen I was looking at this initially was much smaller and "Hodgepodge" looked like Hologram on that small screen. Sorry, it was my mistake.

Lol, no worries, Paul. I almost guessed that was exactly what happened.

Holography can be a lot of fun. I have always used HeNe lasers to make them as their coherence length is much greater than most direct diode lasers. You must start by building an optical bench that is totally vibration free, or at least enough so, as this can ruin a hologram quicker than anything else you do. I always preferred using a one story building with a concrete foundation and in a room small enough to limit air currents from also ruining your efforts. The easiest is to build a sand box that sits on under inflated tire inner tubes as a damper. If you ever get serious about it I can help if you like.
