I just took off any completed laser item from my website to be compliant with FDA regulations. I will not sell any completed laser over 5mW for the time being on my website anymore.

As far as I know the laser diodes are OK to sell though so I will continue to sell 16x diodes until i sell out of those (I have about 10 left), then will start selling 20x red diodes and PHR-803T blu ray diodes. I will become a big time farmer and harvest diodes for people for a small fee. Once I sell what I have left in inventory I'm going to stop while I'm still ahead. This has been fun supplying everyone and making many lasers for people but I need to move on with my life and being a laser supplier is not my future (although I'm going to make a lot of different lasers to keep for myself before I sell everything off, can't help it :))

thanks,
Kendall

Does this mean you have some dorcy jr.+heatsink surplus, that you'd let go off for cheap? :)

Smart move though, when the FDA comes a knocking it is already way too late.

I reckon they can't be a problem really, its just an electrical component that would be useful in DVD writer repair and such.

Legislation probably only deals with complete laser 'pointers', though i'm not sure lab style modules are still allowed (?) or what the distinction between them would be exactly.

yeah, diodes are OK to sell. I talked with some experts on the matter.

Once my few 16x are sold I'll move onto the high powered 20x & PHR803T diodes for sale :)

* hint hint * buy my last few 16x!

You have given me great service on the items I have purchased from you and look forward to the new products.

I deal with customs daily...don't worry about them knocking on your door. Wont happen!! They have much greater things to deal with the some measly 30mW laser pointers...low qty at that.
