I have a few <5mw lasers that I like to play with and would like to move up to a higher power laser. I found this one from O-Like and it seems good to try out for my first time.
New special Burning 250mW red laser torch/focusable [OL-RT-250] - $36.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce
Before I purchase it, I would like to know if it is even legal in the US or specifically, Indiana.
Thanks,

This laser doesn't have a key-switch interface, it just has a click-button. Also, does anyone know of any good safety glasses that would work well with this laser?Laser pointers are Class II or Class IIIa devices, with output beam power less than 5 milliwatts (<5 mW). According to U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, more powerful lasers may not be sold or promoted as laser pointers.[44] Also, any laser with class higher than IIIa (more than 5 milliwatts) requires a key-switch interlock and other safety features.
