Hi,i am new to this forum and i live in Singapore
I am having a difficulties looking for a blu-ray diode.I just want the laser to be able to burn a think piece of A4 paper or newspaper.I doesn know what my laser diode is,but i have my picture here. Where can i buy laser in Singapore or any nearby country which i can order from.Are they expensive?

It looks like you have a green laser module. I wouldn't use that driver.

Too short to be a green, and there doesn't seem to be a driver. Looks like a direct-drive 2mW red from a pointer to me.

I bought the JD-850 from a guy at SGD$65 that guy says is 1000mw...this driver not good?How can i change it to violet or burning laser?

The seller is a liar. This module has an output of 10mW at the most.
The "driver" is no good. It is probably just a resistor.

It is better to build a laser from decent parts. Did you read the threads I have mentioned ?

Have,does the JD-850 worth the price?At online saw the model saying 200mW at USD$21+.
Can a 100mW and a 445/450nm burn?

Don't expect a burner for just $21 :thinking:

100mW can pop balloon and ignite matches but still no burner. To set paper on fire you need real 1+ Watt.
