hey im new to lasers and looking to buy a highpowered laser to light stuff on fire with like cigs and matches and paper... etc can someone help explain me the differences and spec of a good laser and where to get one!!:eg:

Do you realize the safety hazards of a laser. i refuse to help you simply because no evidence has been provided to prove to me that you are a mature person. please stick to the weak lasers until you get the hang of things.

Exactly what cantthinkofone said...
Btw... I'm starting to see now what you meant in your thread about every new member starting to ask for high powered lasers...

gregcost95 first get to know the safety rules as listed on this site
Second you should get a weaker laser and not start of with a burning laser...
Also it would help if you provide us with more information about yourself so we know who we are dealing with.
For all i know you could be a 12 year old kid looking for something you shouldn't even have...

And i agree thrice straight of the bat i want a high power laser to burn stuff with, i will however suggest you read the stickies in the rules section and get the basics first, lasers are Not to be toyed with unless you know what your doing and even then with a great deal of care, a reflective flash of a glass ,or picture frame glass or mirror of a high power laser or even a medium power one and you can permanently damage your eyesight in that tiny fraction of time. Not a good way to start, have a read of our laser basics stickies, get the know the basics, get some googles, start with low power lasers first, then if your serious move up there are ppl here that will go out of their way to help after they know you know and respect lasers .Get to know the Safety and precautions first then some fun later

For future reference, thread titles should have some indication as to what the thread is about. Yours offers no such indication.
