Help with an o-like 5mw laser

Hello, I recently bought an o-like 5 mw module and have a coleman host with a custom made heatsink that fits the module. I'm trying to power it with a 3.6v rechargable battery but it does not go on. Do i have to prepare the module in any way when I receive it for it to work? I know o-like puts on that spring, but does any soldering have to be done for it to power up?

Did you remove the button on the driver and solder a jumper in place?

And did you put the batteries in correctly? - goes to module and + goes to case.

thanks guys, thats what i forgot to do. Can't do anything yet because everything is at home and im stuck at my dorm though
