hey i was wondering how would i set up 2 dc motors instead of galvos because i cant afford those and ive seen it done so anyone help!!!

Scanners are not cheap, even my home built one has cost me around £250. You cant make a scanner using normal DC motors, but you can make a spyrograph. Simply stick some mirrors at a very slight angle onto the motors so that they rotate at a angle. Then set them up in a way so you can point the laser at the first rotating mirror, it bounces off that one and hits the other.

Vary the speed of them and you can create a spyrograph type effect.
