I canot belive I did this but I did so now I need help. I decided to see if I could fix the button on my green 55mw laser as it was not working properly, so Itook the whole module out of the casing so I could get easy access to the curcuit board. The only way that I could get the switch back together was to use super glue. I tested tis and it all worked fine. I then put the module back in to the casing and while I was diong this I heard a pop, I just assumed it was the module slicking back into place. then I tried to fire it up and I got nothing. after an hour of trying to work out what was wron I realised there was a small black piece of plastic on the floor,so I looked at the circuit baord and realised it was a small diode or resistor that had broken in half!!!! So now to my question, will a drlava or rkcstr driver work to power this module? it is a WL 55mw laser.

Re: HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!!!

Yes it should work as long as you adjust it to the proper current and use the proper batteries.
And do try to make your thread title more descriptive ::)

Re: HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!!!

what is the right current and voltage?

I'm not sure. But you see, the reason no one is answering in your thread is because it's named "HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!!!" ::) How about editing and giving it a proper title?

No - neither one of those go high enough current wise to work for you. IR diodes take a lot more current to get going than these drivers currently provide. Your best bet is to find out what the marking were on that component and attempt to order from digikey to replace it.

The componet is too small :'( . Is it posible to make a driver that will work?
