Hay,

does anyone know how I can get out the module in this heatsink?
Pressed it in with much force and the diode got broken and I wanna put in a new one. I don't need the module anymore cause' the new diode and module is currently in another, with smaller heatsink host.

There some pics that should help to recognize what I have to do (Sorry for the bad resolution, my mobile phone camera is not the best):
EDIT: Removed picture cause too big :x

I already tried to get it out with some hard nail and a hammer. Tried to get it out like the same way as I pressed it in.. doesn't worked. I have to say that I am not the best in that - maybe thats the problem.

I'm happy for every comment and attempt to help me.

Thank you and a happy new year!

I would say that the object on the first picture might can help me.
But these tools are made for pressing out the diode and not the module out of her heatsink. :o

Well, I found out that WD40 or an equivalent helps a bit. As long as there isn't anything that sensitive that the WD40 could wreck. Do you have a vice?
If you don't have a vice maybe you could put it face down on a think layer of newspaper on something solid like a table so as to not scratch the front of the host, and use a small piece of pipe or something to hammer against to get the module out (from the back)?

Be careful not to scratch or dent the host :D

Got it out of the heatsink. I pressed it out like I pressed it in. In the bottom right of the heatsink are the "pipe" with I got it. Thank you @Mattronium: and OFC thank you @starlight: for your helpfulness.

doing that is not considered hard-since its already toast-getting one out and having it still usable..:-( .harder--get the tool- for yours just push it back out. front the front--or am I missing something here??
