Hello guys!

Since 2015 I have a Sci-fi laser 1 - 1.8W 445nm (not sure the power) and my drive burned completely .. does it affects the diode? The diode light is very light when I turn on conecting directly.

How can I know if my diode is still good?

Also, the main question: How can I know which driver is this and which better to replace this one?
I'm currently using 2x CR123A 3.7v

The host is a SF501B.

I attached some pics. And what is written on it.

Thank you so much!

Just see the driver's diameter, input/output voltage, and output current (very important). From visual inspection it looks like this: https://www.survivallaser.com/Survival_Laser_Fixed_Current_Driver/p556088_7425633.aspx

Do you know how to test the drivers output? You need to start testing things to make sure they work or send it to someone who can

Pls read the value of Resistor 1206 in your driver! I can tell with you how many current in your laser , and from 2015 i think problem at your diode

That is most likely not the sense resistor. The sense is r1, Right next to diode - and going to the ground plane as far as I can see. Can't see if it's connected to feedback but most definitely the little 1206 resistor is not the current sense one for a few reasons. Its too small for a shunt (aka doesn't have the ability to dissipate much power) and is way far away from the diode -.
