help for ddl's driver

hi guys i've been reading on these forums for a while and have finally chosen to make a red burner(cheapness), so ibought all the components for ddl's driver, ordered a pre-fit diode in an aixis module from senkat(stonetek) and now theres only 1 thing i dont get with the ddl driver, what leads are which on the pot, especcially
my pot looks like this

Just check with a multimeter. With all my 3 pin pots, two of them are inversely proportional.
e.g.
All the way clockwise might be Max resistance on one pin, minimum on the other.
(Might just be my maplins pots though)
 
Outside contacts are the 2 ends of the track, the middle one is the wiper (the bit that moves inside). As drawn turning clockwise will increase the resistance.

I'll add that a MM is pretty much inextricably linked to making a DIY laser though, you can get one for £7
 
All potentiometers are pretty much the same...
