Help designing stage effect

Hello all,
I'm dreaming up a stage effect for my production company. It's for a live band light show. My idea is to have hundreds of red laser diodes at various points all over the stage. Something like these:
Bulk diodes
I know they're not very strong, but with enough fog in the air, I'm sure they'll be visible.
My problem is trying to figure out how to make controllable from my light console, or whatever. As long as I can figure out how to keep it neat and not have hundreds of power adapters hanging around I'm all good.
The protype is coming out of my pocket, that's why it needs to be dirt cheap.
Any help, ideas, suggestions, are deeply appreciated.
Cheers,
~Rob K...

I actually bought 20 or 30 of those little modules off eBay and they're really not that bad. They can also be focused which was kind of surprising.
I hooked up 10 of them together and ran them off one 3.7 V lithium battery.
