Hi, im new in this so i would like to get professional opinion. What would you recommend for cleaning laser mirrors and laser modules inside a club (DJ) laser. I filpped over whole google and i didnt find anything useful. Also i used search on this forum.

I suggest to go to the Welcome section of the
Forum and introduce yourself first. Members
will be more willing to help someone that they
know a little about.
Don't forget add your Global Location in your
Profile so that Members can help you better.

I recomend first contact solution. it's what all the pj guys use...

If the optics don't have anything stuck to them I would try a dry cotton swab first before using a fluid such as alcohol or lens cleaning solution. I use medical swabs on wooded sticks. They seem to work well.

I've done introduction and filled my profile.. Thanks for advices. So 99% alcohol on cotton swab and directly (gently) on laser source ? :D

One more thing. Maybe my lasers are out of aligment. When i turn them on ,while top cover of housing is opened, I see that most of beam just passes trough reflective mirrors.. I can post picture tomorrow so you can see if its right or not :D

Which reflective mirrors? I'm assuming this is RGB or RGY?

If so, there's going to be several mirrors. There will likely be 2-3(RGB) or 1-2(RGY) for combining the colours, so they should pass or reflect depending on the colour.

There will be an additional two on the scanners themselves, one for the X axis and one for Y.

A picture would be good! :)

A picture would help! :)

Yes, they are dichroic mirrors for combining lasers at different wavelengths. They should pass/reflect based on wavelength (colour).

There are also usually not 100% efficient.. when I take my projector covers off I will get light beams going through the dichro and across the room. Well at least on my China pjs.. havnt Had a reason to open my kvant yet

So i can go directly with 99%alcohol and swabs on these ones ? :D

I don't see a problem with the lenses, but if you are planning on cleaning the dichros, I don't know if alcohol would be safe on those.
