Help can't Take Picture of Laser

I have a 110mw violet laser and whenever I try to take a picture of the beam or laser dot the camera doesnt pick up the beam or dot.  :'( I can see the beam in mid air without the camera though.

Time exposure is the key for beamshots.

What do you mean time exposure?

Each camera picks up 405nm differently, some see it brighter than to the eye, and some can barely pick it up at all. Also try getting a tripod or setting the camera on a steady surface then setting the exposure time to 1 or more seconds to help pick up the beam
