Welcome! A laser with invisible beam but a bright blue spot when shined at white objects...
What wavelength could that be?

Is it a really weak blue laser or is the light emitted in the UV part of the eletromagnetic spectrum? Might be the latter since most blue diodes are pretty powerful... Yet UV ones are VERY expensive... I don't know what to think here XD

It's most likely a 405nm. It has a fluorescent effect when shined at many white surfaces. Still have to build one myself, but I have so many other builds I wanna do first

Yeah, I was thinking either UV or 405nm. 405nm is not invisible like the OP said, although I can imagine why someone would think it is (due to using a weak diode probably)

thank you for a warm welcome guys.
i have a question though the diode that i extracted have the rating of 395-400nm from the application which i took apart, so i'm not sure it is UV or Violet though

I knew it was UV :D

Actually, it is bordering UV and Violet. Theoretically, it's UV (It's non-ionizing though)

High end of the UV spectrum. Normal for a multitude of Medical Laser devices for that harvested diode. I have a 405nm laser and it does make a dot that "messes" with you as it reacts differently to different colored surfaces.
Too bad that parts of Australia has rules that have become so laser unfriendly lately :(
Welcome to the forum. Have fun and be safe :)

Welcome to the forum, greetings to crocodile dundee;)

I'm sorry for the prank xd
