Hey LPF, my name is Colin and I've been lurking around these forums for a couple months now but haven't created an account until today. I have been researching lasers for the last couple of months and finally feel like I am ready to take the plunge and build my first laser. I'm sure I will have a few questions along the way.
I am a computer/electrical engineering technology student at Purdue University in Indiana. I have always had an interest in lasers but didn't realize that there was so much to learn until I found these forums. I have been reading everything I can ever since!
I am rounding up my components for both my first and second builds (405nm PHR-805T and a 445nm M140) and will hopefully begin building everything within the next week or two. This seems like a great community with a lot of information to learn!
