I wish to introduce myself. I am retired from telecommunications engineering, I am an electronics enthusiast and have been a licensed radio amateur since my teens. I enjoy experimenting with wireless microelectronics and have had the good fortune of finishing in the winner circles for a couple of micro-controller contests. I have written articles for Circuit Cellar and QEX Magazines. Most recently I have designed surface mount pc board artworks using KICAD which I subsequently had manufactured by Asian PCB houses. My interest in laser technology is mainly associated with the possible use of inexpensive Arduino class commercial laser sensors for distance measurement.
