Hello people I am new to this forum. I have just signed in. I an engineering student in UK and doing my BsC. So I have this final year project that i have to do. I had some queries regarding that. I have to build one underwater optical communication link for which i need to make a transmitter and a receiver. So i had to order a laser diode for UW and i got Blue-Violet,100mW,405nm TO18. Now I am not totally sure in what ways is this laser good for my project. (it was suggested by my supervisors). I mean how much current would it give and what else i will need to know about it. Please if someone could give some sort of information. cheers.

Diode is something like PHR-803 I'd imagine.

You should feed it 120 mA maximum, 100mA reccomended.

Feel free to message me if you've got any questions.
(also yeah, wrong section :p )

So.. let me get this straight. You're in you're final year of engineering school, and your English is somewhat broken, and you like to advertise for some laser toe nail company in NY in your sig?

Ok then. Just checking.

Check again, two different avatarless posters, one is OP who needs help, other one (above yours) is apparently a spammer who I've just reported.
