Hi there, I am a new member. I just recieved a Deal Extreme Laser, it was well worth the investment! I made some high quality goggles and got the rechargable e2 bateries. At first, the e2's overheated and may have caused some damage, but that's because the Deal Extreme spring for the batteries was bent and touching the side. I bent it back, and no problems for now! After the thing overheated however, it didn't shine straight until it cooled down, now things r fine, I can't wait till nighttime and then I can post some pics. I can see the <200mw beam in my room in the day, but not outside, These summer days r toooo long!!

Here is a pic of the beam in a dark room, while it is visible in daylight at certain angles, it doesn't show up in the camera with no tripod.

Thanks, I just hope that it didn't get permanently damaged when the batteries shorted out and overheated.
I think it must have reached around 200 F or 100C degrees cuz it burned me and expanded the battery tube, so now things jiggle around a bit :-/

Welcome to the forum ! Try to resize your pics to 800X600 if possible - it makes them much easier to see on the forum :) Win XP has a "power toy" for free that does that.
